Marlin police chief in critical condition

MARLIN -

Marlin's police chief is in critical condition after being involved in a one-vehicle accident early Friday morning.

DPS spokesman DL Wilson said Marlin Police Chief Darrell Allen was driving his 2004 Ford Explorer on Highway 6 north of Marlin on at 2:30 a.m. Allen appeared to have lost control of his vehicle and the SUV rolled over several times.

Allen was transported to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. Texas Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
