WACO -
A local woman who was assaulted early Thursday morning has been admitted into the hospital for significant injuries.
Waco Police were called to a West Waco home about 4:36 a.m., and learned that a female victim was assaulted and received serious injuries. Investigators were on the scene for several hours this morning.
Police are not releasing the identity of the victim, but they did say she was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Authorities do not believe this was a random attack.
Police are making progress in the case, but no arrest has been made at this time
