Texas A&M officials have confirmed that student-athlete Thomas Linze Johnson has been found safe in Dallas after he was declared missing Wednesday afternoon.
Texas A&M University Police investigators traveled to Dallas on Wednesday looking for Johnson. With the assistance of the Dallas Police Department and the Texas Rangers, Johnson was found at 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
The university is not releasing any further details regarding the incident at this time.
Johnson is an 18-year-old freshman receiver from Dallas Skyline High School. He was last seen leaving his residence in College Station on Monday at approximately 5 p.m., wearing a black jacket, black shorts and gray shoes. He was also had on a set of "Dr. Dre Beats" brand headphones.
Coach Kevin Sumlin released a statement in which he said, "Thomas is a tremendous student-athlete, greatly admired by his fellow teammates and all of us on the coaching staff."
A year ago A&M football player Joey Villavisencio was killed when he collided with an 18-wheeler while driving home for Christmas.
