Authorities are trying to figure out what caused a fire that destroyed a family's mobile home Tuesday night. The fire occurred in the 500 block of South Bonham Street near the Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, the home was halfway engulfed in flames. All the residents had gotten out of the house safely.
The firefighters put out the fire by 8:26 p.m., and continued to extinguish hot spots for another hour. Police say the incident is under investigation by the fire marshal.
