A man who tried crossing the interstate in Waco on Sunday night was hit by a car and killed.
Waco Police said 66-year-old Richard Alan Grates of Waco was walking west around 8:45 p.m., crossing the southbound lanes of I-35 just past the 8th St. exit.
A man driving a car with a female passenger hit the man. The driver and passenger were not injured.
