A Belton man is arrested and charged with sexual assault of a minor on Monday.
Police were called to the 700 block of East Ave N at about 6 p.m. on October 22 with regard to a sexual assault complaint. After an investigation police learned that the victim was a 16-year-old female and obtained a warrant for Thomas Sholars.
21-year-old Sholars was booked into the Bell County Jail.
