BELTON -
A pedestrian dies after being struck by a truck early Sunday morning in Belton. The accident occurred before 4:45 a.m. at 3500 North Main St. when a GMC pickup truck was traveling southbound, and hit a pedestrian who was walking across the street.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene when Belton police arrived, but the driver of the truck was not injured.
The identities of the people involved in the accident are being withheld until next of kin can be notified. The accident is under investigation by the Belton Police Department Crash Investigation Team.
