Driver extricated after two vehicle head on collision

TEMPLE, TX (KXXV) -

Two drivers are seriously hurt after a two vehicle collision occurred near the intersection of FM 93 and 31st St. in Temple Friday morning.

The accident happened after 8 a.m. when a truck traveling eastbound on FM 93 collided with a car traveling westbound on FM 93. The car drifted into the eastbound lane of the road and hit the truck head on.

The driver of the truck was able to get out of the vehicle, and was transported to Scott & White Hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car had to be extricated by Temple Fire Rescue crews, and he was also transported to Scott & White Hospital with very serious, but non life-threatening injuries.

The accident is under investigation, and the intersection has been closed for cleanup of spilled fluids.
