WACO -

Waco police arrested a 51-year-old man Thursday morning when he attempted to evade police officers in a car chase.

Around 2:10 a.m. at 500 Dutton Ave. an officer saw a pickup driven by Allen Durane Foster miss a stop sign and roll into the middle of an intersection. When the officer attempted to stop the truck, Foster fled the intersection in his vehicle.

Foster drove onto the interstate, and exited onto Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd before finally being stopped at MLK Jr. Blvd. and Orchard Ln.

Police took Foster into custody and obtained identification information on a passenger in the vehicle after three bicycles were spotted in the back of the truck.  The bicycles were held by police for investigation of their origin.
