Arrested Fort Hood soldier accused of murder back in Central Texas

CENTRAL TEXAS -

A Fort Hood soldier suspected of murdering a Bell County woman is back in Central Texas. David Vega was arrested October 11 in California after being on the run from law enforcement for nearly a month.

Officers detained Vega in a motel in Northern California for allegedly stabbing 30-year-old Danielle Acosta-Guerrero to death. He is also accused of assaulting her six-year-old son at their home off Haven Drive.

Vega is currently in Bell County Jail and is facing murder charges.
