Registered sex offender sentenced to 45 years in prison

CORYELL COUNTY -

A Coryell County man will spend the next 45 years in prison for sexually assaulting an autistic child in January.

Bryan Roe, 33, lured the nine-year-old into a vacant building adjacent to the Pearl Community Center on FM 183 and assaulted the child. The child made an immediate outcry.

The four-foot-nine Roe was arrested a short time later and transported to the Coryell County Jail in Gatesville, Texas.  He was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and booked into jail.

Roe was already a registered sex offender, and had just been released from prison after serving ten years for a similar crime. Roe later confessed to the allegations.

Roe plead no contest to the charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child and on October 24, 2012 he was sentenced  to 45 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division.
