Salado Intermediate School teacher Lisa Marie Wagnon, 48, turned herself in to the Travis County Sheriff's Office around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. Authorities said they looked for her in Bell County Wednesday night, but Wagnon was no where to be found.
On Monday, a student at Salado High School told administrators that another student was having a sexual relationship with Wagnon.
Salado ISD Superintendent Michael Novotny said he questioned the alleged victim who admitted he had a relationship with the teacher.
On Tuesday, the case was taken up by the Bell County District Attorney's Office who was able to get a warrant issued by Judge Duffield for the arrest of Wagnon, for the felony offense of Improper Relationship between Educator and student.
Arrest records say the former teacher picked-up the 15-year-old from his high school and drove him to her home. That's where the two allegedly had sex.
Investigators now say they've found incriminating messages on the victim's Facebook page. They will be checking phone records to make sure nothing like this happens again.
"One main thing is to get it to stop," Investigator James Lewing said. "We don't want to have any more victims. That's the school's idea, too. The school was very good about this, that the minute they received an outcry, they contact the Bell County Sheriff's Office. It was without hesitation."
Wagnon has worked for the district for nearly 12 years. She was a reading teacher for grades 3-6, but resigned as of Tuesday.
Neighbors of the teacher said they did not know her that well other than she was married and had two teenage children.
Wagnon may face a felony of the 2nd degree for an Improper Relationship between Educator and Student. She has posted bond of $10,000 and was released Thursday morning.
