WACO - A local man is arrested Tuesday for stabbing his girlfriend's grandparents in July. The incident occurred July 20 at 6 p.m. at 2400 S. 21 St. when David Scott was in a dispute with his girlfriend.
Scott refused to leave his girlfriend, and she called her 60-year-old grandmother and grandfather to come assist her. When the couple arrived Scott pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the man in the abdomen. The man later was transported to a local hospital and was treated for his stab wound.
The elder woman was also cut by Scott in an ensuing struggle. Scott then fled the scene, but was arrested months later after officers obtained an arrest warrant for him.
Scott is in McLennan County Jail and is being charged on two counts of aggravated assault.
