BELL COUNTY - A Bell County grand jury has indicted former Nolanville mayor Charlie Lee Stewart Sr. on a charge of sexual assault of a child. The 50-year-old was arrested in July for accusations of touching a young girl.
Stewart had resigned from Manor Middle School over the summer, and in September he was forced out of office as mayor of Nolanville for missing three consecutive regular council meetings.
