ROBINSON - Robinson City Council approved an agreement for the reservation of raw water and the sale and delivery of treated water from the City of Waco on Tuesday.
The contract will be heard by the Waco City Council on October 16, and development will begin immediately on the interstate once the water line has been placed. Water line construction is scheduled to be completed by May 2013.
"This is a very historic day for the City of Robinson," City Manager Bob Cervenka said. "This will give Robinson a lifeline for a guaranteed water source from the City of Waco for our future."
Plans will be made for the expansion of the existing water treatment plant over the next 10 years to accommodate growth.
