Sandusky Sentenced To 30 Years In Prison

By John Elizondo

BELLEFONTE - Former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky has been sentenced to at least 30 years in prison after being convicted on 45 counts of  child sexual abuse.

Sandusky was sentenced to a minimum of 30 years, but a maximum of 60 years. If the 68-year-old Sandusky is released from prison, he will be nearly 100 years old.

Judge John Cleland issued Sandusky's sentence on Tuesday, three months after a jury convicted Sandusky on 45 counts of child sexual abuse. Sandusky maintains his innocence and plans to appeal in the coming weeks.
