Woman Arrested For Slapping Girl Over Ice Cream

By John Elizondo

SAN ANTONIO - A San Antonio woman has been arrested and is facing charges for slapping a 10-year-old girl who refused to share ice cream with her daughter.

The San Antonio Express-News reported that the girl bought ice cream on Saturday and was playing with neighbors.

A 4-year-old asked the girl for her ice cream, but the older girl refused. The young girl tried to grab the ice cream away from her, but the older girl slapped her hand away.

As the older girl began to walk away the mother of the 4-year-old, Talysa Herron, approached the 10-year-old and struck her in the face. Herron proceeded to follow the girl home in her car.

When the mother of the 10-year-old, Cyndi Lafontaine, confronted Herron, Herron punched and attacked Lafontaine until police were called to the scene. Herron has been charged with injury to a child.
