77-year-old in electric scooter hit by truck

By Danielle Skinner

WACO-A 77-year-old man is in the hospital after a truck hit him in the middle of the road.

Police say the man was on a motorized scooter, and was in the middle of North 15th street. A truck came down the dimly-lit road, and hit him.

Waco PD say it doesn't appear that the driver was speeding, and the elderly man was in his lane.

Police are also saying the man on the scooter had alcohol on him. He was taken to Hillcrest where police say he is responsive.

No arrests were made.
