MCLENNAN COUNTY- A manhunt for a probation violator involving several law enforcement agencies has just been called off for the night.

Authorities say one suspect is already in custody after the chase, but the other is still on the loose.

U.S. Marshals, Robinson Police, State Troopers and DPS helicopters began searching in Downsville at South Third Street, just seven miles outside of Waco. Their search stretched all the way to Robinson.

A U.S. Marshal told News Channel 25 that they were trying to cover as much ground as they could, and even searched Downtown Waco.

The suspect in custody, Kevin Hogan, was wanted for aggravated assault out of Waco's Police Department.

Hogan was spotted in a car at a local business. A U.S. Marshal tried to approach the men. The driver of that car, William Scott Mayhew, who has a parole violation, sped off.

In a desperate attempt to escape the suspects abandoned, the vehicle on Ward and Andrews Drive in Robinson, and fled on foot.

Marshals were able to catch Hogan, but the other suspect is still out there. Marshals called off their search just before 9 P.M. and will resume in the morning.

News Channel 25 will continue following their investigation.
