WACO - A local man is accused of sexually assaulting two young children, one boy and one girl, in the summer of 2011.
The Waco Police Crimes Against Children Unit, assisted by the Advocacy Center, conducted forensic interviews and investigated the case. After the case had been investigated, Waco Police obtained the warrant and arrested 21-year-old Matthew Ruston.
The victims, both under the age of ten, told their mother about their encounters. The mother then reported it to police, who in January of this year handed the matter over to city officers.
