UPDATE - James Allen Bundage was found late Monday night a mile and a half away from his home. The sheriff's office found him hiding in the woods. He was arrested without incident.
GRIMES COUNTY- The Grimes County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for a murder suspect who allegedly shot and killed his neighbor in Grimes County.
Grimes County Sheriff says they're looking for 58 year old James Allen Bundage. Bundage is a suspect who is believed to be involved in the death of 55 year old Patrick David McHale, Bundage's neighbor.
McHale was shot and killed shortly after noon Monday at his home on County Road 359 just west of Plantersville.
Grimes County Sheriff Donald Sowell says McHale called 911 twice Monday. The first time, nothing happened. But when he called the second time, McHale said he had been shot. Then the call ended abruptly with what the dispatcher says was a loud noise.
"The individual who called in was saying," Sowell said. "Talking about the suspect, 'James we can settle this, we can settle this.' So deputies responded, found the individual deceased on the ground, the suspect gone."
McHale had been shot, but there was no weapon found near the home. Sheriff Sowell says Bundage could still have a gun, and is considered armed and dangerous.
Bundage apparently left the scene with his car which is a black 2010 Toyota Corolla. If anyone has information about Bundage, they are to call the Grimes County Sheriff.
Sheriff Sowell says the two men have had a confrontation before over a border dispute between their properties.
