TEMPLE - Michael Leon Bounds turned himself into police Thursday after an arrest warrant was issued that charged the man with Accident Involving Serious Bodily Injury or Death.
Bounds is facing charges for a deadly hit and run accident in Temple. Bounds is accused of hitting Charles McNiel III at S. 31st St. near HK Dodgen Loop in August.
McNiel was walking in the street at the time of the accident. After the collision, Bounds didn't stop in his dark-colored mustang and drove off.
McNiel later was pronounced dead at the hospital. Bounds charge of Accident Involving Serious Bodily Injury or Death is a third degree felony and his bail has been set at $75,000.
