TEMPLE - The city of Temple and the Texas Department of Transportation celebrate the ground-breaking of Loop 363. This $38.9 million project is expected to boost economic development.
The development of Loop 363 will create two frontage roads from BNSF Railroad to Adams Avenue. The four lanes will help ease traffic with the upcoming construction scheduled for Interstate-35.
Loop 363 will serve as an alternate route for drivers according to Mayor William Jones III.
"Transportation is a main of the focus for the City of Temple for develop of our community so we can grow both economically," Jones III said. "Also a quality of life for our citizens will be enhanced by mobility and their ability to get around our community."
The mayor expects Loop 363 to increase the growth of businesses and jobs to the area. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2014.
