UPDATE: We now know the identity of the people who died in the fire.
Authorities identified Christopher Micheal Sroka, 21 and Seth Micheal Soulsby, 19. They were found dead inside the apartment where the fire started early Friday.
On Monday, Killeen police identified the third victim as Kristy R. Moncrief, 33.
Police said all three people were found in the same vicinity, but they're not sure if all of the victims were in the same complex at the time of the fire.
KILLEEN - A devastating fire early Friday morning destroyed an entire apartment complex, leaving dozens of families without a place to live.
It took more than six hours until firefighters could put out the blaze, but when they were finished three bodies were found badly burned. They were buried under parts of the collapsed building and were covered in ash and soot.
It started just after midnight, at the 1300 block of North Gray Street. But by the time firefighters arrived the complex was completely engulfed in flames. Residents living on the second floor at Casa Tejas Apartments were jumping off the balcony to save their lives.
At least two people were taken to Metroplex Hospital, they suffered non life-threatening injuries.
More than 45 Killeen firefighters and 12 police officers were at the scene.
The apartment manager said he is working with other apartment complexes in the area, and hopes to have an apartment for all the displaced tenants by Monday.
Killeen Police Spokeswoman Carroll Smith said 34 people were taken by bus from the scene to another shelter. The American Red Cross will be helping those displaced families.
