MEXIA – A two vehicle accident killed one woman and injured another, Saturday, near the Limestone/Freestone County line.
Texas Department of Public Safety said a 2006 Cadillac slammed into a
2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee at the intersection of County Roads 971 and 930 around 11:20 a.m..
35-year-old Sabrina Lynn Brewer was the woman behind the wheel of the Cadillac and was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Shirley Mayes.
The driver of the Jeep, 25-year-old Ashley Dawn Lerma, was transported to Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia.
Lerma was treated and released from the hospital.
No citations were issued in the wreck and there is no word on what caused the crash.
Both women were wearing their seatbelts.
