MCLENNAN COUNTY - A home is badly damaged after being engulfed by a fire that started Thursday morning.
The fire started at around 11:00 a.m. in the 3100 block of Katy Road, south of Ross in McLennan County.
When firefighters arrived, the home was already fully engulfed. They moved quickly to extinguish the flames on home's bottom floor, but after the downstairs portion of the fire was brought under control, it took another hour for firefighters to deal with the flames in the attic.
