Robbery attempt foiled in early stages

WACO - A robbery that could have occurred early Thursday morning did not have a chance to happen.

Two men wearing ski masks were spotted by a witness near a "Fina" convenience store in the 3200 block of Hillcrest Drive at around 2:30 a.m.

After seeing the two masked men, the witness called police who arrived to take the men into custody. Officers recovered knives from both of them.

Both suspects will be charged with Attempted Robbery.
