Counterfeit bills passed at several Temple businesses

TEMPLE - Two suspects are being sought in connection with several counterfeit bills that were passed around to several Temple businesses over the past few days.

Temple Police had received at least three reports of Forgery from local businesses that claimed bills from the apparent same batch of counterfeit U.S. currency had been passed.

The bills are of $5.00 and $20.00 denominations and the serial number on all the 20's has been the same: GF75487397C.

Businesses, especially clerks at food market counters and restaurant drive-through counters, are encouraged to carefully examine money they receive, and immediately report any bills they believe may be counterfeit.
