COPPERAS COVE - A woman is accused of trying to run over a man following an argument.
On Wednesday at around 7:10 p.m. police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Carothers Street in Copperas Cove.
They arrived and were told by the 43-year-old alleged victim that he had left the residence after an argument with 45-year-old Monica Palmer Torres.
The victim stated that after the argument, Torres had attempted to run him over with a white '04 Hyundai Santa Fe, but he was able to jump out of the way and avoid injury.
Torres was charged with being drunk in public and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Her bond was set at $20,000 but she has since bonded out of jail.
