BRUCEVILLE-EDDY - A body that was found near a small lake in McLennan County may be that of a man who was reported missing over a week ago.

Authorities report that the body was found Friday evening near Smith Lane on private property northwest of Bruceville-Eddy.

Investigators are working to confirm if the body is that of Kirk Kuykendall, who police have been looking for since July 20th.

Kuykendall was last seen at a home on Christopher Drive in Bruceville Eddy.

The victim's body has been sent to Dallas so an autopsy can be conducted.
