WACO - Two Waco men who had followed two others around Friday night into Saturday morning seeking a fight ended up facing robbery charges when it was all over.
Police say it started in a pizza parlor Friday night when two men in their early 20's were approached by 22-year-old Chris Bellringer and 30-year-old Jody Lee Guthrie who were taunting them and trying to start a fight. The men that were being taunted left the area.
A short time later, Bellringer and Guthrie found them again in a fast food restaurant parking lot, once again taunting them and forcing a fight, this time getting physical. They ended up taking a cell phone which police say turned the assault case into a robbery.
Bellringer remains in the McLennan County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond. Guthrie has since posted bond and has been released.
