MART- Authorities have taken all three juvenile escapees into custody after they reportedly cut a hole in the fence and broke out of the Texas Youth Commission facility in Mart early Sunday evening.

According to Mart Police Ladarious Brown, Larry Jefferson Burge, and Stuart Douglas Candis are now being held in McLennan Co. Jail on charges of escape while arrested or confined.

McLennan County Sheriff's deputies, D.P.S. troopers, the Texas Rangers and all Mart Police units, assisted by a helicopter, surrounded the three juveniles around 7:15 in the wooded area near Thompson Rd. and Calvery Eskew Rd. and finally re-arrested them shortly before 8:15 p.m.

Police say they found the three, all at least 17 years old, in a wooded area near Calvery Eskew Rd., behind the TYC unit.

According to Mart Police, the boys escaped TYC by cutting a hole in the surrounding fence. Police say one of the boys has family in Waco and authorities believe that is where they were heading.

The three young men were taken to McLennan Co. Jail instead of being transported back to TYC because of the severity of their violation. The charge of escaping a correctional facility is a third degree felony, meaning the three teens could face between 2 and 10 years in prison, if convicted.
