McGregor- Two people are dead and two others are hurt after a wreck near McGregor.

It happened around 5:40 Friday morning on Cotton Belt Parkway, four miles south of U.S. 84. A neighbor heard the crash and called The Department of Public Safety.

DPS says two women were killed. Another woman and man were rushed to the hospital. The man was airlifted to Scott and White hospital with critical injuries. The woman was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

DPS says the driver of a 2007 Saturn Ion drifted off the road and crashed into a tree. The driver and the passengers were not wearing seat belts.

State troopers say the car was registered to a man from Waco but, no one inside the car had any identification on them. However, DPS is able to confirm that they were all in their twenties.

There's still no word on what caused the driver to drift off the road.
