
KILLEEN - On Thursday morning, A Killeen ambulance was stolen and later returned, resulting in a lot of confusion and one arrest.
The ambulance was dispatched to Captain Drive in Killeen on an EMS call. The medic crew arrived and went inside to take care of the patient. However, when the medic crew exited the residence, the ambulance was gone.
At around 5:24 a.m. the crew notified dispatch that their ambulance was stolen and asked for a police officer. Shortly after the crew notified dispatch they heard sirens coming toward them. The ambulance came around the corner onto Captain Drive and stopped at the address that the medic crew had been dispatched to.
The man who is alleged to have stolen the ambulance, parked the ambulance, stepped out and started to walk away. The medic crew followed the man for a short time when he turned and stared at them. One member of the medic crew started talking with the man and continued the conversation until a police officer arrived and arrested him.
The suspect was transported to the Killeen City Jail.
