Waco man on the run wanted for murder

HOUSTON The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force are looking for Antwone Jermaine Betters who is wanted for Capital Murder in Houston.

On June 10 at about 8 PM, three unnamed women met with the Antwone Betters and others to purchase a large amount of marijuana. When Betters and the others met with the women to make the transaction, Betters and the other suspects produced weapons and demanded their money and cell phones. During the transaction one woman was shot one time in the chest at very close range. She died at the scene. The other two females were not injured. The three males then fled the scene in a black Dodge quad-cab pickup.

The three females were from the Austin area. Betters is believed to have relatives in the Waco area.

Anyone with information regarding the location of this suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Task Force in Waco.
