TEMPLE- Temple ISD is looking into a school bus incident that has a number of parents concerned and angry.

The incident involves a substitute bus driver who they say got frustrated with noisy children and took them on a wild and bumpy ride.

It all started when the number 123 school bus was late arriving to the bus stop Thursday. Fifteen minutes went by and Gaynell Clemons still saw no sign of the bus carrying her seven year old son -- Terry.

She got worried and called Hector P. Garcia elementary to find out where her son was.

"I was very shocked and horrified that the bus didn't come on time and when I called the school there was an incident where the bus had returned to the school because the children wouldn't be quiet."

A Temple ISD administrator said once the bus returned to the campus, the assistant principal at the school got on the bus to calm the kids down.

When Clemons' son finally made it to the stop, he ran to his mom.

"I started to cry and then he swerved another way I didn't know, and then after that he turned and then I said go to the bus stop," said Terry.

Then the concerned mom confronted the driver.

"He claimed he hadn't driven fast and that he could prove that," said Clemons. "I said could you prove that you didn't swing corners and toss the children all around?"

That's not the only concern she had, come to find out those kids weren't even dropped off at the normal location. They had to even walk a couple of blocks just to get home.

Word of what happened on the bus spread to other parents -- who shared their concerns with us off camera.

Despite what happened Clemons says she doesn't think it's the schools fault. "I know that Garcia teachers are good, I know that the principal is good, but every now and then you get a bad apple."

Temple ISD Public Information Officer Regina Corley says the school district is looking into the incident. She says the district cannot prove the bus driver was swerving or speeding.
