ROBINSON- Two young women, who were best friends, died in a car wreck early Saturday morning on Surrey Ridge Lane in Robinson.
DPS officials say 23-year-old Callie Tullos and 24-year-old Ashleigh Dodd, both of Riesel, were speeding on Surrey Ridge around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, when they lost control and struck a tree head-on. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Tullos was a senior financial services and planning major at Baylor University. She would have graduated in May.
One of Dodd's family members says it was her 24th birthday, and the two girls were best friends who grew up together.
Family says Tullos and Dodd will have their funeral services together.
