WACO- Planned Parenthood in Waco will close it's abortion facility and move it to a different location. The health center located on Columbus Avenue will move to 11-21 Ross Avenue, and Pro-Life supporters will move their protests to the new location.
Planned Parenthood representatives say this is a simple relocation, and that they will continue to provide services in Waco. The organization is also looking to save money.
Pro-life supporters claim this as a small victory after years of protests.
"We are pleased at this, back in 2011 the facility in Groesbeck, the facility in Marlin is closed, those are small victories but abortions must end in our city," said Waco Pro-life Director John Pisciotta.
Planned Parent Representatives said it's organization is here to stay, and this move is apart of remodeling administrative offices in order to accommodate a new surgical suite for the center.
