Update: One person confirmed dead after I-35 wreck

WACO - One person has been confirmed dead after an accident involving 18-wheeler and two other vehicles that took place in Waco at around 7:30 this morning on I-35 and New Road.

The wreck happened when the 18-wheeler ran into the back of the car. The car's driver was driving slowly and had the vehicle's hazard lights on at the time.

The car took massive damage and burst into flames while the 18-wheeler was nearly split in half.

The driver of the car was killed.

A jeep ended up wrecking as a result of the crash.

Traffic is still slow in the area.

The other drivers have been taken to Hillcrest Hospital, but there's no word yet on their condition.
