THE BRIDE: Shannon, 33, a design director at Moment Design
THE GROOM: Josh, 35, a student in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at SUNY Downstate
THE DATE: August 14
Most of Shannon and Josh's friends had never been to Brooklyn, so the couple really wanted to showcase their city. Taking inspiration from the iconic "I Heart NY" logo, they went with a red, white and black color palette with pale-periwinkle accents.
The Welcome Bags
Out-of-town guests got these welcome bags sealed with a sticker of a sketch of the Brooklyn Bridge and the couple's heart logo.
The Bridesmaid Dresses
The bridesmaids chose their own black dresses and accessorized with matching red peep-toe pumps.
The Escort Cards
Tented escort cards were displayed in a bed of grass as a nod to the couple's "bluegrass" Kentucky roots.
The Bridal Bouquet
Shannon carried a big bunch of white roses and ranunculus with pale-green accents.
The Table Numbers
Shannon and a friend made the table numbers with some spray-paint stencils and glass bottles.
