WACO- Police say two adults and two teens are behind bars for breaking into a house on the 3400 block of Ethel Avenue and stealing a television, jewelry, money and other electronics.
Manuel Perez, one of the two residents of the house, received a call from police while he was at work and came home to find his house in disarray.
"Pretty scary. I mean, right now I don't feel secure," Perez said.
Waco Police said a neighbor called them after seeing the men running with a TV and other items in their arms.
Officers arrested all four not far from the house. Police recovered many stolen items that the burglars had thrown in an alley behind the house while trying to flee the scene.
Perez is still looking for a missing laptop, digital camera and several X-Box games.
He is planning to install a security system to protect himself, his roommate and their home.
"If I'm at work, I'm going to be worrying all the time to leave my house. Am I going to come back and find my place empty? Pretty much that is my fear," Perez said.
Perez was shocked and upset about the burglary but, in a way, glad he and his roommate weren't home and didn't get hurt.
He is also grateful to the anonymous neighbor who tipped off police, saying he is sure his house would have been completely cleaned out had they not contacted police.
"You never expect this to happen to you," Perez said. "You know, you hear a lot of stuff on the news or whatever, but you never expect that it's going to happen to you."
