ROSEBUD - A former Rosebud Police Chief was sentenced to jail time and probation for tampering with evidence at the scene of an accident.
Jeremiah Shults was convicted in April of 2011 on one of two counts.
A Falls County Judge today sentenced him to ten years probation, 120 days in jail on weekends and a $2,500 fine.
Shults was one of six witnesses who testified today, and admitted that perhaps he should never have been a peace officer.
