WACO- A Waco homeowner took justice into his own hands Friday night after catching burglars in his garage.

It all started around 7:30 in the 4400 block of Village Oak in Waco. A homeowner heard some noises coming from his garage, and went to go check it out. Then he saw two men in a car speed off.

After a quick look around, he realized his socket set and floor jack were missing. Instead of calling the police, the homeowner and his brother made the decision to go find the men that suspiciously sped off a few minutes earlier.

They jumped into action and caught up with the two men at the corner of Park Lake and 29th Street, where the chase took a violent turn. The robbery suspects and the homeowner both pulled out guns. The homeowner and his brother fired a total of three shots. No one was injured.

Dorothy Lenamon lives right across the street from where the confrontation took place and was startled by the gunfire. "I had actually gone to bed and I heard what sounded like something hitting my bedroom window," Lenamon told News Channel 25.

The suspects were last spotted heading down McFerrin Street, and haven't been seen since.

Police are now looking for the suspects they describe as two Hispanic males, both wearing white tank tops and arm tattoos. One of the men is about 5'7" and 160 pounds. The second man is about 5'10" and 250 pounds. The men were driving a mid 70's black Monte Carlo.

If you do have any information on the two suspects, call the Waco Police Department at 750-7500 or Waco Crime Stoppers at 753-HELP.
