WACO - A man was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted his stepson with a weapon.
Police say 41-year-old Richard Melendez was confronted by his stepson, Carlos Medina Jr., about the way he was acting in front of his children.
Court papers say Melendez became angry and stabbed Medina three times in the neck with a pocket knife.
Melendez is being held in the McLennan County Jail on $25,000 bond. He is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
