FORT HOOD - A Fort Hood soldier is dead following a shooting Monday night in Killeen; the second soldier to die in as many days.

Killeen Police responding to reports of a shooting discovered 22-year-old Joshua M. Wyatt inside an apartment in the 3400 block of Victoria Circle suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Wyatt died while paramedics rushed him to meet a waiting medical helicopter. Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced him dead at 12:10 a.m.

Police say they have no suspect description and are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call 254-501-8800 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 254-526-8477.

David Lester Middlebrooks, also a Fort Hood soldier, died as a result of a stabbing Sunday morning.
