LAMPASAS - The Department of Public Safety reports its Troopers are working an accident on Highway 183 about four miles north of Lampasas.
The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. and Troopers were still on the scene at 7:00 a.m.
Troopers say the victim, 35-year-old Steven Barda of San Saba, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck.
He was the driver and sole occupant of a 2003 Ford Pickup that was southbound on Highway 183.
According to DPS, Barda made a sharp move with the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to spin. He then overcorrected to the right sending the vehicle rolling before it finally impacted several trees.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
