KILLEEN - A local humane society alleges animal abuse at the Killeen Rodeo.
The Assissi Humane Society said some participants at this years rodeo participated in alleged animal abuse.
For four days, volunteers captured the alleged abuse on tape, now that video has been posted on a popular internet site, YouTube.
The humane society said the abuse violated the cities animal abuse guidelines.
The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association which organizes rodeos across the country, including the Killeen Rodeo said the allegations are false.
"It shows short snippets of the rodeo taht happened all weekend, edited down with some biased commentary that is not true, added to and sway the viewers, said Cindy Schwonholtz.
While PRCA said they do take any animal abuse allegations seriously, they do believe anyone violated animal codes.
Both The Killeen City Attorney as well as Killeen Police are investigating the allegations.
Representatives from Assisi Humane Society declined an interview for this story.
