WACO - College campuses across Central Texas are keeping vigilant Monday, after a massive shooting in Virginia.
Both Baylor University and University of Mary Hardin-Baylor are closely monitoring the situation that took place early Monday morning in Virginia.
While security at both campuses are on high alert, police tell News Channel 25 things have not changed.
"To say we have changed things here today, no," said Baylor Police Chief Jim Doak.
UMHB Chief Gary Sargent said he'll, "Take that and simulate [it] in our response time, and see if those response plans are the same." Sargent added there might be, "Moderations here or [steps taken to] harden ourselves as a potential target."
Both universities are working Monday as a regular day and will evaluate their police presence as it becomes necessary.
