Military stores unaffected by egg recall

FORT LEE, Va. - The Defense Commissary Agency says military stores across the country do not carry the millions of recalled eggs.

Although the commissaries may carry some of the brands mentioned in the recall, such as Hillandale and Sunshine, officials say those linked to salmonella contamination are not being sold.

On Wednesday, the Wright County Egg recall was expanded to 380 million eggs sold in cartons of six, 12, or 18 eggs.

The eggs were distributed around the country and packaged under the names Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph's, Boomsma's, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms and Kemp.

The 13 brands affected by the recall have the following product codes:

  • P-1413
  • P-1946
  • P-1720
  • P-1942
