Man indicted for allegedly causing fatal auto accident

ERATH COUNTY- A man has been indicted for allegedly causing an accident which killed two people last year in Erath County, about 90 miles northwest of Waco.

In July 2009, Alexander James Petersen, 21, of Waco, was driving a 2007 Dodge Dakota pickup truck north on Highway 281, about three miles south of Stephenville, when he reportedly began to pass a tractor trailer in a no passing zone.

Petersen's truck then collided with a 2005 Dodge Ram head on.

Two Hico, Tex. residents in the Dodge Ram, Roy Tipper and his mother-in-law Kathleen Moore, were killed in the crash and three other passengers were injured.

Petersen was indicted by the Erath County Grand Jury on two counts of criminally negligent homicide.
